Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.Luke 6:38 N.I.V.

Evangelism, and mutual ministries meetings to be announced.  May we hear as the Lord calls and guides us to give voice for the voiceless and fight for justice. We pray for those that are unemployed and suffering hardship!  We pray for those mourning and lamenting!  We pray for our enemies and ask the Lord to help us forgive.

Christian Education for Children

Immanuel offers a Christian Education hour or Sunday school class for pre-school through adults. The children's classes are taught in our Sunday school wing with easy access to our beautiful acreage. Our teachers are loving, spiritual, and have approved background checks.

The curriculum we use is called ...... Children will learn the basic bible stories about .....through music, art, group activities, and storytelling.

Vacation Bible School is offered in the summer for all ages. Children and adults study the same bible subjects in individual classes and then gather together for singing, sharing a lite supper, and participating in arts and crafts. This inter-generational experience provides an opportunity for children and adults to relate to each other while studying God's Word in a family atmosphere.

Peace, Bread & Joy Free Community Meal

Jesus said, "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me..." -- Matthew 25:35. Every month, church volunteers put Jesus' words into action in their neighborhood, providing a free meal to anybody who needs it. No questions asked. No red tape. No paperwork. It's an all-volunteer collaborative effort by neighbors helping neighbors. Dinner is served at:

First United Methodist Church

930 South Little Avenue

5:00-7:00 pm

Free will offering accepted.

We anticipate that some of the people who come for dinner are homeless. Some are unemployed. Many are the "working poor" of our own neighborhood who have a hard time making ends meet. A lot of our guests will be children.Information gathered through the ministry of Love INC of Greater Cushing indicates the need in our community is evident in these difficult financial times. No one is turned away.

Jesus reminds us that "insofar as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me." -- Matthew 25:40.

If you wish to support Peace, Bread & Joy by donating funds, food or supplies, or by working with us on the evening of the third Saturday of the month, please contact the church office at (918) 225-LOVE. The Community Meals Ministry is an all volunteer Ministry of the body of Christ.
